So I'm terrible at posting on the blog apparently. My beautiful baby girl is 8 months tomorrow. She's growing so incredibly fast. She has two perfect teeth. She's crawling like crazy and in to everything. She loves to practice standing. She is definitely interested in eating - in fact WE can't eat if she isn't. She will let you know very loudly that it is not okay. She's a whole 16 pounds...just barely. She loves sitting in the shopping cart and checking people out. She's adored everywhere we go, but she is a TOTAL clingy baby. Won't really let anyone hold her but Mom and Dad. Definitely having the separation anxiety phase. I really hope it ends soon cause it's terrible on my poor babysitters! Thankfully they don't complain, and we really only use them very rarely.
We decided to take a trip to Maui at the beginning of December as a family - Ashlee's first LONG flight and we had a fabulous time! The flights went well - Ash was a CHAMP and we actually got really lucky on seats - the way there I had a whole bench to myself with Ash and on the way back the middle seat was empty giving us more room. Definitely made it easier. In Maui, we did EVERYTHING. We ate amazingly great food. The girls learned to surf and even stood up their very first try. We went whale watching and saw TONS of whales even though we were technically a week before the "season" starts. We went snorkeling out in coral gardens. Kelly and I saw an eel which was neat. We went parasailing at 1200 ft, zip lining, did a little hiking, and saw a great magic show. The kids were super brave about everything and trusted us when we promised that we wouldn't let them do anything that was dangerous. We even got a picture with Santa!
