Oh Lexi girl

We have a new addition to the family and her name is Lexi.
The girls really wanted a cat...well they really wanted a pet.  Allison was "dying" for a cat.  Kelly wants a dog, or a snake, or a raccoon, or maybe a cat.  So...we talked about responsibility and decided that a kitten would be the easiest.  We went to one place and we were tied between 2 cats and couldn't decide...and the staff was EXTREMELY rude so we decided to look elsewhere.  Ed found a vet that had some rescues so we decided to go take a look.  I singled in on Lexi - she was a beautiful color and seemed fairly mellow yet playful and I bonded with her instantly.  Meanwhile everyone else was playing with this cute black kitten and was beginning to fall in love with him.  I put Lexi back in her cage and tried to bond with the black kitten, but he wouldn't hold still and didn't seem to want me to hold him.  So then everyone turned their attention to Lexi...and everyone fell in love with her right away.  We left her there over the weekend so we could think it over, and on Monday while Ed was helping the girls with their homework I went and got Lexi and all her supplies.

She's been SO fun for us these last couple days.  She has really bonded into the family and Ed and I are surprised how much we love her since he and I really didn't even want an animal.  And we aren't really cat people...especially Ed.   But she's touched our hearts for sure.  We definitely spend the most time with her now.  She's got a really cool personality and is playful and more confident everyday.  We haven't had any problems except when we're on our laptops and she wants to attack the screens and press all the keys.  I think she knows more about my laptop than I do, because she always opens a program or a setting that I didn't know existed.  One smart cat.

We love our Lexi.

I'm a total cat person. They're independant, yet show love. She is a beautiful cat.
