This chick...

This chick drives me crazy, tires me out, and makes me laugh so hard.  She has SUCH a huge personality.  She knows what she wants and she wants it NOW.  You better pay attention to her, because she'll get right in your face and make you if you don't!

She's 11 months old now...we're so close to that great 1 year mark.  She's just under 18 pounds and she's got 8 teeth.  She practices her standing and balancing at every chance she can, but hasn't lifted off to walking just yet (THANK GOODNESS!)  She's fast enough crawling as it is.  She's tough...soft is not a word she understands.  I have bruises from this kid.

Although "Dada" was her first word, it was quickly followed by "Mama" (thanks to Dad's encouragement) and now "Mama" is her favorite word...she says it ALL the time.  She tests me - BIG TIME.  She's all nice and calm with her Dad and a maniac with me sometimes.  I feel like the most used words in my vocabulary right now are "NO!" "STOP!" "ASHLEE!!"  Which doesn't make me feel like mom of the year.

She's a daredevil - she will literally dive off any structure without even looking or caring if I've got a hold of her.  Gives her dad a heart attack on a regular basis.

And then there are the time where she's just downright funny.  She'll grab your cheeks are ramble in your face.  I think she's trying to be a gymnast or something because she looks like she's trying to learn how to flip sometimes.  She LOVES music.  EVERY time a commercial with music comes on the TV she stops whatever she is doing and completely focuses on the TV.  She blows raspberries on my stomach or shoulder any time she sees an opening.

Thankfully she's gotten over stranger-danger and she goes successfully with babysitters with little to no fuss at all now.  Oh my gosh you have no idea what a relief that is now.  And even though she's little - the girl can pound some food...she's quite the porker, but apparently has a hollow leg.  That's our girls these days!
