If you plant it...it will grow!

Our garden is AWESOME!!  haha.  I honestly was pretty skeptical at the beginning.  I literally kill everything I've ever tried to care for (in regards to plant life).  I'd forget to water it or over water it or something!  But Ed encouraged me and we planted this garden together.  I did remember to water it everyday...and even when we went out of town for 9 days, Ed's brother was kind enough to come over everyday and water it.  The tomato plants are as tall as Allison and have yet to yield fruit...which Mom tells me is because I don't seem to have bees...so we'll see how that pans out in the future.  And we planted our strawberries late, but the plants are looking good an healthy so hopefully next year we'll have a nice crop.  BUT our Edamame plants are doing great.  Ed and I actually picked some a boiled them up for a nighttime snack last night...oh so yummy!

When the girls got home this morning we went out to the garden to check out the potatoes.  We only uprooted one plant and yielded 9 BEAUTIFUL yukon gold potatoes.

Allison is stoked because her favorite food is mashed potatoes and that is exactly what we will be doing with those golden beauties!  We also pulled out 4 carrots (one for each of us to try).  The girls washed them and got them ready for us and we all enjoyed our first carrot together.  They were SO good!  And I have to say I was really happy when the girls both said "I WANT MORE!"  (YES!  they are loving fresh vegetables!)
