2010 Baby

Starting it off right...

So for New Year's Eve I threw a bonfire - very last minute because I didn't want to go to one more year of lame parties with people that I don't like, or the single's dance (that let's face it...is never any good). So bonfire it is! With the help of my dear friend Kody it was freakin HUGE fire. We had a TON of fireworks that took us about an hour to shoot off. We had lots of food and Martinellis and best of all a ton of people. And a completely random mix of people too so that was awesome. So ringing in the New Year was pretty fun.

Jan 1 was even better! Myself and 6 friends went and rappelled Key Hole Canyon. It was so much fun. It took up a majority of the day, but was a great way to spend the first day of a new year - jumping down 5 dried up waterfalls and enjoying the beauty of the canyon. Lisa and Julie were relatively new rappellers (they both had done it YEARS ago, but only once so this was a big refresher). I was so proud of them - they busted it out and we're totally great sports. Later that night my favorite, Bradley, came to visit me. Bradley moved away to Washington for an awesome job and I've missed his guts ever since. So having him come over and visit for a little while was awesome. The rest of the night was spent chilling with my roommate watching movies in our pjs. I was so exhausted from the weekend that I was asleep by 9 pm. That's never happened to me. =)

Today I'm starting on getting my 2010 in order. Which all started with being more organized and actually completing some projects that i have been working on. So I'm cleaning out the junk, replacing all my lightbulbs with "energy efficient" stuff, setting up a filing cabinet, and who knows if I have time - gonna get the car detailed (as apology for making it go out into the desert everyday this weekend). Oh yeah - and run my five miles. shoot me now.

So for the New Year's Resolutions: (I know that's why you're reading this)
1. Run at least a half marathon - but try my hardest for the full (already scheduled for May 15th)
2. Complete an "Olympic Distance" triathlon (scheduled with my brother David on September 11th)
3. Ride a Century ride (not scheduled yet, but should probably do it between the marathon and triathlon to make training easier)
4. Be more organized
5. Fall in love with the Old Testament

We'll see how we do!
