1. Utah is FLIPPIN' COLD! Yeah don't worry that I flew to Utah and didn't have so much as a light jacket to protect me from the freezing cold weather! LUCKILY Jen loves me and lent me an adorable jacket for the weekend - which I incidentally still have. =)
2. I'm SO lucky to have such awesome friends of Amanda, Jared, and Cathy! They always open their home to me and let me tell you people - this is first class accommodations! And it's just fun to visit them. The BEST travel companions in the WORLD. And we're soooo going back to Holland together soon. We have to retake all of our pictures with our new hot bodies!
3.. Pomegranate frozen yogurt! A MUST HAVE. We went to Red Mango after lunch one day and it was TASTY!
4. I realize that really the only thing to do in Utah is eat...because yeah...we ate like ALL day. Incidentally I now LOVE Noodles & Company cause it was probably the healthiest thing I ate the whole time I was there...but man those sliders from Harley Davidson! Oh yum. And let NOT forget all you can eat French toast and raspberry blondies from Hagerman's bakery. AHHHH! If I lived in Utah I would probably weigh 800 pounds...well actually I'd just have to be hanging off a mountain everyday in order to balance out my waistline.
5. If you like rock climbing you HAVE to to go Momentum gym in Sandy...that was awesome! So many good climbs for all levels. I had so much fun and was so sore the day after.
6. Radio stations. What the freak? There is like a radio station on every wavelength BUT it's either country (which I can stand for a while, but oh my gosh not FOREVER!), hispanic, or church music!! Where's the rock - classic, indie or otherwise! Where's the alternative? I mean people - how can you live life without some Cake!? If my rental car didn't have XM radio I think i might have died.
7. Daylight savings time - sucks. I knew about it and I prepared for it. I set the alarm on my phone which switches over automatically. I ALSO set the alarm in my room. Now the alarm in my room was wrong the whole time I was there so I set it correctly before I went to sleep...or so I thought...I set it 12 hours ahead..yep so I was supposed to wake up at 6:30 am so that I could take a quick shower and run to the airport...and I was laying in bed that morning quite surprised that I was waking up before my alarm. I lay there for a few moments and then I roll over to see that it is 8:00 AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So what I learned in the end was that I do miss Utah...for the outside stuff and for my fabulous friends...but I belong in Vegas and I'm glad to be home.

You know I have been in Utah so long that I am almost afraid to leave in some ways, but I also see benefits to both Vegas and Utah...tough to choose sometimes...but I'd pick Vegas weather over Utah almost any day...almost :)
